Shoes

The soles of shoes are the toughest part of the shoe, as it
should be. There are three layers to the bottom of a shoe.
The insole is against your food, the midsole comes next and
then the outsole which meets the street. The shoe itself
can be made from a wide variety of materials depending on
their purpose. Depending on what that material is will
depend on how much they cost. If the shoes have heals to
them, their generally made out of plastic or hard rubber.
Shoes like anything else fall into categories such as dress
shoes, casual, work, athletic, and boots. Dress shoes are
usually more expensive, look very good and many times not
very comfortable because depending on your lifestyle, many
don't wear dress shoes that often so they don't get the
chance to be worn in. Casual shoes are probably one's
everyday shoes and can range in price of $5. to $50. or
more and are very well broken in. Athletic shoes or
sneakers are some of the most popular shoes around and they
come in many varieties themselves.
When you talk about woman's shoes that opens up a whole new
category, women are nuts over shoes and many of them have
closets full of them. Many women could wear a different
pair of shoes for a month and never wear the same pair
twice. (or maybe I'm just speaking for myself). High heels,
sneakers, flip flops, sandals, boots, shoes and more shoes
fill many women's closets and none are ashamed to admit it.
When it comes to shoes, the variety is many and include
specialty shoes such as hiking boots, rubber boots that are
made to go over a persons shoes and wade through water or
snow so their regular shoes don't get wet and ruined, boat
shoes, golf shoes, these have spikes imbedded in the soles
so the wearer doesn't slip and fall.
There are work shoes that are designed to protect your feet
from the kind of work you do. Some are very heavy duty and
are resistant to oil and chemicals, like the kind auto
mechanics need to wear. Some work shoes have steel
inserts called steel toed work boots or shoes and protect
one's feet from heavy objects that may drop on the foot.
Some people need special made shoes called orthopedic
shoes and depending on the needs of the person wearing them
decides how his or her shoes are made. Some people are born
with one leg longer than the other and if this is the case
then usually this person will need one shoe with a sole an
inch or so thick in order for him or her to walk
comfortably.
The main function of shoes is to protect the human foot.
Shoes that don't fit properly will cause all kinds of
problems such as blisters and soars and are just plain
uncomfortable. We are not born with thick soles, nor have
some other kind of defense for our feet so a cover had to
be made and thank goodness for the invention of the shoe.
If it weren't for shoes I would have to find some other
kind of fashion to fill my closet, like maybe clothes.
